Ag Connect 2013 is underway in the central U.S.   This is the third Ag Connect Expo & Summit put on by the Association of Equipment Manufacturers, AEM. Their first two shows were held in Orlando and Atlanta.

Show director Sara Mooney says there are nearly 300 farm machinery and other exhibitors here.  She tells Brownfield Ag News, “There are a lot of new products and technologies to take in, a lot of products that you’re going to see for the very first time here at Ag Connect.”

AEM Senior Vice President Charlie Obrien says the educational sessions are a big component of the show, like the Ag Executive Forum.

He says, “We had several, I guess, eight countries represented and farmers and manufacturers in the same room. And that was exciting, too, to see the dialogue and people talking about what the future of agriculture is going to be and how it’s all going to evolve. And there’s a lot of evolving going on right now with agriculture.”

O’Brien says they expect to draw even more show-goers from the region because it’s so centrally located. AgConnect runs through Thursday.
