Seed Consultants winter agronomy meetings

As part of their agronomic service to their customers, Seed Consultants, Inc. will hold a series of 14 winter agronomy meetings during January in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky. Product Manager Matt Hutcheson says a number of topics will be covered, including a recap of the 2012 growing season and how to interpret plot data.

“And along with the recap of this year’s growing season, we’ll offer some tips for a successful 2013 season, some management practices, we’ll talk about planting populations, dealing with herbicide resistant weeds, that kind of thing,” Hutcheson said.

Hutcheson says they’ll also be introducing “My Farms,” a new tool available to their customers that will help make hybrid recommendations.

“We have a lot of yield data and farmers have a lot of yield data and this program will help us put that together and make hybrid recommendations and population recommendations based on soil type,” said Hutcheson.

The winter agronomy meeting dates and locations are available here.
