Buckeye Shepherd’s Symposium

The 2012 Buckeye Shepherd’s Symposium is going to be held Saturday, December 8 at OSU Agricultural Technical Institute in Wooster, beginning at 8:00 a.m. with the annual meeting of the Ohio Sheep Improvement Association (OSIA).

Roger High, Executive Director of the Ohio Sheep Improvement Association (OSIA) tells Brownfield the program will focus on harvested and grazing forages.

“We have two excellent speakers, Dave Robison will be speaking on primarily grazing forages and Dr. Mark Sulc, Extension forage specialist at the Ohio State University will be concentrating more on the harvested forages, including hay and baleage,” High said.

The 2012 Buckeye Shepherd’s Symposium will also include a youth program and Margaret Soulen-Hinson, President of the American Sheep Industry Association will be the keynote speaker.
