Is bacteria in meat going to make you sick?

Consumer Reports’ says it found antibiotic resistant bacteria in pork it recently sampled. Food safety expert Dr. Scott Hurd – says bacteria, resistant and otherwise, are always present in raw meat, in vegetables, in humans. Consumer Reports suggests that antibiotic resistant bacteria in meat can make you sick if you eat it – but Hurd says only in very, very rare cases.  Much prevention can be had through proper handling and cooking of meat.
