Like many in agriculture, the farm bill is a top issue for the National Grain and Feed Association. President Randy Gordon says they are particularly interested in a provision in the House version which would begin a reform of the Conservation Reserve Program making it easier to take land out of the CRP in times of high grain prices such as this. They are also watching what appears to be growing support in Congress for updating the lock-and-dam system on the Mississippi and Illinois Rivers.
