King tops Vilsack in Iowa

Another interesting political race, from an agricultural standpoint, was the congressional contest in northwest and north-central Iowa between Republican Congressman Steve King—a frequent critic of the HSUS—and Democrat Christie Vilsack, former Iowa first lady and wife of U.S. Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack.

King prevailed by a 53 to 45 margin.  The other two percent went to a third-party candidate.

Shows that the con artist known as Pacelle, President and CEO of the largest, most effective animal “welfare” group in the world, “11 million” members strong (or something) CAN influence an election – in favor of his opponent. Obama won handily in the state, Vilsack had nationwide support, and still, Mr. King won- by a big margin.

Shows H$U$ can’t quite buy elections, even with hundred of thousands of dollars of negative ads against King.
