Wisconsin has a lot of manure. And from the standpoint of it being a great source of soil nutrients, that’s good. David Kaltenberg with SFP – Specialty Fertilizer Products – tells Brownfield Ag News at World Dairy Expo that the company’s big product in Wisconsin is More than Manure. He explains that Wisconsin dairymen don’t use many commercial fertilizers, getting adequate nutrients from manure.
“What we’re doing is helping them be more efficient with their manure and protect the nitrogen and also protect the phosphorus from tying up in the soil.”
