Following the release of the USDA’s Quarterly Hogs and Pigs Report on Friday, the Pork Checkoff held a news media conference call with three ag economists who provided their reactions to the report.
Participants were Altin Kalo, chief economist, Steiner Consulting Group, Manchester, NH; Dr. Ron Plain, professor of agricultural economics, University of Missouri, Columbia, MO; and Dan Vaught, president, Vaught Futures Insight, Altus, AR.
