Dairy producers need to watch for aflatoxin

The drought is causing some cases of aflatoxin in corn this year. While dairy and beef cattle can tolerate fairly high levels of aflatoxin, dairy cows will pass some of it through to the milk so dairy producers need to closely monitor the situation. Al Schultz with Vita Plus says producers need to know what is in their corn, corn silage and alternative feeds like corn screenings and distillers grains.
