The New Year will bring new release times for some USDA statistical reports.
After January 1, 2013, the major USDA grain and oilseed reports released at 8:30 AM Eastern, 7:30 AM Central, will now be issued at 12 PM Eastern, 11 AM Central. The major reports included are World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates, Acreage, Crop Production, Grain Stocks, Prospective Plantings, and Small Grains Summary.
The later release times are in response to public comments made after the major U.S. commodity exchanges expanded trading hours.
Major livestock reports will continue to come out at 3 PM Eastern, 2 PM Central.
