Nebraska agriculture organizations, initiated by the Nebraska Corn Board and the Nebraska Corn Growers Association, have come together to put pressure on the U.S. House of Representatives and Congress to pass a farm bill in September.
Those groups are using Husker Harvest Days to educate farmers about the farm bill and ask them to take action by signing a Farm Bill Now banner, calling their congressional representatives and signing the petition on FarmBillNow.com.
At the Ag Commodities Building at HHD, we visited with Curtis Rohrich of Wood River, Nebraska, who serves on the board of directors of the Nebraska Corn Growers Association. He talks about the Farm Bill Now efforts and discusses his own crop prospects in central Nebraska.
