When thoughts turn to fall, they turn to apples, one of the most popular fruits. Apples are a healthy food choice. They are grown in all 50 states and harvest is beginning to get underway. The biggest commercial apple producing states are Washington, New York and Michigan. But what about the supply of apples in view of the U.S. drought? Michigan apple farmer Jeff VanderWerff says there won’t be a shortage of apples in the short term.
