EAB found in another Wisconsin county

The Emerald Ash Borer has been found in Trempealeau County. A single adult male was found at Perrot State Park along the Mississippi River across from a known infestation in Minnesota. The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection will place Trempealeau County under EAB quarantine; some infested trees may need to be removed from the park.

This is the 13th Wisconsin county where the pest has been found joining Brown, Crawford, Kenosha, La Crosse, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Rock, Vernon, Walworth, Washington, and Waukesha. In addition, Fond du Lac and Sheboygan counties are under EAB quarantine.
