Case I-H is launching a new four-trac tractor in a row crop profile, the Rowtrac Steiger. Mitch Kaiser is Steiger Marketing Manager, he says they took the 16-year heritage of the Quadtrac, put it in a slimmer, longer profile with narrower tracs and different wheeltrack spacings. The trac drives are taller with an “upbox” and a larger drive wheel on the tracs with a 160-inch wheelbase and can turn in as little as 21 feet. 16, 18 and 20-inch tracs are available and are interchangeable to accommodate various row spacings. The tractor also features a new maintenance-free undercarriage and is available in 350, 400 and 450 horsepower models. Dealers are currently taking orders for the new Rowtrac for delivery in the second quarter of 2013.
