The estate tax remains the top policy issue for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association.
According to NCBA’s executive director of government affairs, Kristina Butts, the estate tax rises to the top for family-owned small businesses, such as farms and ranches, because of the burden it places on families hoping to pass their business on to the next generation.
Brownfield discussed the estate tax issue with Butts during the Cattle Industry Summer Conference in Denver.
