The nomination periods are now open for the Wisconsin Soybean Marketing Board and Wisconsin Cranberry Marketing Board. Nominations must be postmarked on or before July 6. Only affected producers are eligible to nominate or be nominated. An affected producer is an individual, partnership or other business entity in Wisconsin engaged in the production and sale of the specific crop.
For the Soybean Marketing Board, nominations are sought for a representative from districts two and six. (District two includes: Buffalo, Clark, Eau Claire, Jackson, La Crosse, Pepin, Pierce, Trempealeau and Wood counties. District six includes Kenosha and Walworth counties).
For the Cranberry Marketing Board, there are two open positions. Nominations can be for an affected producer from any location in Wisconsin.
Elected representatives to each marketing board will serve a three-year term of office beginning September 1, 2012 through August 31, 2015.
