United Producers Inc. at Bucyrus will be holding a feeder cattle show and sale on Monday, June 25.
“We’re looking for 150 pens of three, so 450 head of cattle is what we’re looking for,” said auctioneer Johnny Regula. “It’s going to be something educational to those that are feeding cattle.”
Regula says because everyone has their own idea on what a market ready animal is, the show and sale will help cattle feeders better understand what buyers are looking for.
“Some of them thinks it’s 1050, some of them think it’s 1250, some think it’s 1,500 pounds” Regula said. “They’ll get a chance to sit there and see what the buyers want, because they’ll be able to tell by what the prices are on those pens of cattle.”
The feeder cattle show will begin at 2 p.m., with the auction getting underway at 6:30 Monday evening, June 25th at United Producers, Inc in Bucyrus.
