A busy day at the 83rd annual Wisconsin State FFA Convention on Tuesday, proficiency awards were handed out, Roger King of Holmen was named Agriscience Teacher of the Year, Darlington won the Parliamentary Procedure contest, Stevens Point FFA won the Junior High Quiz Bowl, Ashley Zimmerman of Spencer won the state Creed Speaking Contest while her sister Katelyn won the Junior High Essay Contest. Scotty Pate of Evansville won the Discussion Meet, Hannah Piencikowski of Waupaca won Prepared Speaking and Bethany Dado of Amery won Extemporaneous Speaking.
Tonight the four “Stars” will be named and the ten new state officers will be announced. The convention wraps up Thursday morning.
