On Thursday morning, Ethan Giebel will step on the stage for one last time as president of the Wisconsin FFA Association. Even though he was on
the state officer team last year, he says he really did not have any idea just how big the job of state president really is. “I knew it would be more work, but I didn’t know how much more.” He says he would still like to put together some sort of a guide for the next state president to prepare them for the job.
Giebel is proud of his officer team this year and their accomplishments including increasing membership from 18,464 to just under 19,000 in Wisconsin. He is also proud of the number of chapter members the team was able to reach out to over the year.
Giebel will spend the summer on the family farm, “Helping my dad…I know I owe him after the last couple of years.” In the fall he will return to U.W. Platteville where he is majoring in ag education.
His advice to the next president of the Wisconsin FFA? “Make every day ridiculously amazing.”
