Local USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) offices around the country will begin accepting nominations for eligible candidates to serve on county committees this Friday, June 15.
Described as the link between the farm community and the USDA, the FSA county committee is involved in the decision making process when it comes to commodity price support loans and payments, conservation and disaster programs and other agricultural issues in their community.
Nomination forms must be returned by August 1. Forms, or additional information about eligibility are available at local FSA offices or here.
