National FFA President Ryan Best of New Mexico addressed the 84th Ohio FFA State Convention last Friday, May 4.
“My biggest message for them is, hey in life we have to be real, we have to be authentic and we have to be willing to put ourselves out there, otherwise we’re not going to be able to build the relationships we need to get through life,” Best said.
The New Mexico native tells Brownfield that when his term as National FFA President ends in October, at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, he’ll finish his degree in Agricultural and Extension Education with the goal of becoming an ag teacher.
“My heart’s in the classroom and that’s where it’s been for a really long time,” said the National FFA President. “I cannot wait to have the opportunity to interact with students on an everyday basis, rather than come in and visit with them for a few days and leave, so whenever I’m teaching ag it’s going to be an incredible experience.”
