The American Dairy Association of Indiana has a lot going on in 2012. As Jenni Purcell, a Registered Dietician and Director of Communications for the American Dairy Association of Indiana tells Brownfield this year kicked off in a big way as Indianapolis was home to the 2012 Super Bowl.
The ADA of IN partnered with Indianapolis Colts player Gary Brackett to promote the Fuel up to Play 60 program (an initiative that is a partnership between the National Dairy Council and the NFL to promote a diet that is filled with nutrient rich food [the “fuel up” portion] and also promotes 60 minutes of exercise every day). In addition, ADA of IN is preparing for the Indy 500 in May and June Dairy Month.
All of these great activities lead up to the big celebration in August as the 2012 Indiana State Fair is the “Year of the Dairy Cows”. Purcell says there will be a lot of great activities to celebrate the dairy industry in Indiana.
