Cattle trade develops late on Friday

It was nearly six-o-clock in the evening before reports of significant cattle trade started coming into the Brownfield Network.  USDA Mandatory reported trading was light in the Texas Panhandle on light to moderate demand. Compared to last week, early live sales were 2.00 lower at 124.00, but several producers continued to pass all bids. Trading was light to moderate in Kansas on moderated demand. Live sales were 2.00 lower at 124.00. The trade and demand was moderate in Nebraska. Live sales there were 2.00 lower at 124.00, with dressed sales 2.00 to 3.00 lower from 199.00 to 200.00. A few cattle traded in Iowa at mostly 2.00 lower dressed at 200.00. As of early evening the estimated sales volume was 54,000 head.
