An agronomic look at atrazine

Atrazine may be an “old” herbicide – but it is one that is still effective for producers.  Mike Owen is a professor of Agronomy at Iowa State University and says while the application rate has changed for atrazine over the years; it is still a viable option for producers to manage weed problems – even fifty years later.  Owen says growers that scout their fields and manage each field individually are headed in the right direction when it comes to controlling weed issues.
