Savor the Flavor

The Indiana Farm Bureau played host to an event to highlight Indiana grown foods at the Indiana State Fair.  In its second year, the “Savor the Flavor: A VIP Taste from Indiana Farms” featured beef, pork, duck, lamb and fish and Indiana grown fruits and vegetables for a locally grown treat.  The event challenged teams of student chefs from the Art Institute of Indianapolis, The Chef’s Academy, Purdue and Ivy Tech, Muncie to work with Indiana farmers and their products to create a prize-winning dish.

 

 

 

 

Ivy Tech, Muncie took home the grand prize with their Pork and Watermelon dish.
