NAFB President dies in auto accident

Lindsay Hill

Well known farm broadcaster Lindsay Hill died in an auto accident in Ohio Thursday morning. The 31-year-old, who served as president of the National Association of Farm Broadcasting, was driving a Ford F-150 pick-up that collided with an SUV at the intersection of Ohio Highways 41 and 235. The driver of the other vehicle was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Last month Hill began work with Farm Journal Media, the producers of Ag Day and U.S. Farm Report television programs. Until late last year she was co-owner of ABN radio and the Buckeye Ag Radio Network, based in Columbus, Ohio.

In 2008, Hill was elected by farm broadcasters to the office of NAFB Vice President, from which she ascended in 2010 to President Elect and, in January of this year, to NAFB President.

She lived on her family’s farm near De Graff, Ohio, dividing her time between there and South Bend, Indiana, the home of Ag Day and U.S. Farm Report.

On her Facebook page, Lindsay posted that, “Life is too short to wake up with regrets…Believe everything happens for a reason.”
