With the National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville as their stage, New Holland launched a new line-up of skid steer loaders and compact track loaders. Brownfield’s Dave Russell talked with Dave December, Marketing Manager for North America to find out what sets the new machines apart from the competition and to learn more about the Super Boom Road Show.

Going back to 1979, John Roundcount saw a need for a product that could make farm accounting simpler, since then John has continued to improve his FarmFact accounting software, to in his words, “make life simpler.” FarmFact is designed to easily adapt to your needs and Johns says a companion video has enhanced their ability to reach out to current and potential users of FarmFact.
Channel – Seedsmanship At Work
Kerry Overton, Area Business Manager for Southern Indiana and Southern Oho says Channel Seeds takes a great deal of pride in what they call “Seedsmanship,” that local relationship they have with the farmer. And looking at 2011, Overton’s excited about the lineup of Genuity corn and soybean traits they have available.

Standing next to the Massey Ferguson 8680 at the National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville, Clancey McCray, Senior Marketing Specialist at AGCO talks with Brownfield’s Dave Russell about the Tier IV Interim tractor features, including Dynamic Tractor Management (DTM) that allows the tractor operator to set engine rpm’s for better engine perfomance and fuel efficiency.
Evaluating your fertility program
Tony Donoho, Northeast Regional Account Manager for SFP says it is their goal to help make nutrients available to where it matters, the crop. Donoho says one area where SFP can help is protecting the farmers nitrogen investment and it begins by evaluating last years crop performance.
Valley Irrigation – providing choices and options
For the last several years, Valley Irrigation has worked hard to provide farmers with choices and options to meet specific needs of their fields. New this year is Bender 30, which Wade Sikkink, Product Manager for Valley describes as a center pivot designed to bend around an in-field obstruction up to 30 degress. Sikkink also says Valley is improving water efficiency by incorporating Variable Rate Irrigation technology.
Buying decisions in just 2 clicks
Don Durs, Marketing Manager for Fastline says with the technology available today it’s possible for someone to go to the internet and in 2 clicks make an equipment purchase, and Durs says an improving ag economy is leading to an increased interest in the equipment Fastline has available.
AgriGold’s Giants
Jared Mathies, Corn Specialist at AgriGold tells Brownfield’s Dave Russell that in order to be considered a Giant, the corn hybrid has to perform better than the competitor. But in addition to performance, Mathies says AgriGold is putting added emphasis on plant health.
Great Lakes Hybrids
Farmers stopping by the Great Lakes Hybrids exhibit at the National Farm Machinery Show had a number of things on their minds, everything from available seed corn supply, to the weather, to the markets. Brownfield’s Dave Russell talked with Regional Team Leader Erik Larson and learned that Great Lakes Hybrids has been in business for 90 years and they’re still providing hybrids that provide the results customers are looking for in corn hybrids.
