HSUS targets Minnesota turkey hatchery

The Humane Society of the United States is accusing a Minnesota turkey hatchery of what it calls “callous disregard for animal welfare.”

HSUS says it conducted an undercover investigation in October of Willmar Poultry Company in Willmar, Minnesota.  HSUS’ list of abuses includes sick and injured animals left to suffer and live turkeys being thrown into grinding machines.

HSUS says Willmar Poultry Company is the largest turkey hatchery in the country.
