Retail fertilizer prices are on the rise.
According to DTN, anhydrous surged 23 percent in August compared to a month earlier. DTN’s end-of-August survey showed the average price for anhydrous is now over 606 dollars per ton. That’s up from 466 dollars per ton nine weeks ago. And it’s 41 percent higher than one year ago.
UAN solutions and phosphorus fertilizers were also higher, up 7 to 12 percent compared to a month earlier. Just one fertilizer slipped lower in August—potash was down 6 percent compared to a month earlier, with an average price of 466 per ton.
