Rodney Schmidt maintains that Bayer CropScience may be misunderstood. He says the company is primarily thought of as a crop protection provider, which it is, but he says Bayer is also heavily into biotechnology. His case in point is Bayer’s Liberty Link soybeans. Just a couple of years since their U.S. introduction, Schmidt says well over a million U.S. acres are planted using Liberty Link technology. Schmidt has interesting things to say about rotating not only crops, but chemistries and weed control modes of action.
