Add one more county to the list of those where Emerald Ash Borer has been found. Mike Skwarok with DATCP says an adult beetle was found in the City of Cudahy yesterday adding Milwaukee County to Brown, Crawford, Kenosha, Ozaukee, Vernon and Washington where the insect has been found.
The find does not change the quarantine list because Milwaukee County was already under quarantine because of infestations in neighboring counties. There are 11 quarantine counties including Milwaukee, Crawford, Fond du Lac, Kenosha, Ozaukee, Racine, Sheboygan, Vernon, Washington and Waukesha. Movement of any ash material and all hardwood firewood out of those counties is prohibited.
