Fertilizer producer CF Industries isn’t ready to give up on purchasing Terra Industries.
CF has submitted a new offer to the Terra board of directors, one that it says is superior to a takeover bid made last month by Norwegian-based Yara International, the world’s largest fertilizer maker. Terra’s board of directors has tentatively accepted Yara’s takeover offer.
CF has submitted several bids to acquire Terra. All have been rejected by the Terra board.
