Some light cleanup trade is occurring in Kansas with live sales steady with yesterday at 85.00. Compared to last week, dressed sales in Kansas are trading steady at 136.00.
Choice boxed beef is .79 higher at 145.74, and select is up .68 at 140.03.
Feeder cattle receipts at the Ozarks Regional Stockyards at West Plains, MO totaled4230 head. Compared to last week, steers and heifers weighing less than 500 pounds were 4.00 to 8.00 higher, heavier weights 2.00 to 4.00 higher. Feeder steers medium and large 1 and 1-2 weighing 500 to 600 pounds traded from 98.00 to 110.00, 7 to 8 weights from 90.00 to 98.00 per hundredweight. 5 00 to 600 pound heifers brought 86.00 top 98.50, and 7 to 8 weight heifers traded from 85.00 to 90.00.
