Nebraska harvest issues to be discussed

The Nebraska Extension Service will broadcast live a special program on Wednesday with advice for farmers on how to deal with the challenges of the 2009 harvest.

The program will be broadcast to Extension offices via satellite and will also be streamed on the Internet beginning at 10 a.m. Central Time on Wednesday (Nov. 18).  It will also be available through other venues later this month, as well as archived online.

The program will include a live call-in segment allowing observers to ask questions of UNL experts. Topics include handling and drying higher moisture grain; ear rots and grain molds; and, livestock sensitivities to myctoxins.

Producers interested in watching the program at their local extension office should call the office to get details.
