The Indiana Beef Cattle Association (IBCA) will hold the first of 11 area beef meeting this Thursday, November 5 at the Putnam County Fairgrounds at Greencastle. Joe Moore, Interim Executive Director of IBCA says the meetings are open to all beef producers.
“Everyone’s welcome to come whether you’re a member of IBCA or not,” said Moore. “We will talk about the expenditure of checkoff dollars and of course all producers pay in to the checkoff.”
Moore says too that as area beef meetings get underway, IBCA is also gearing up for the 23rd annual Hoosier Beef Congress at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.
“Hoosier Beef Congress kicks off on Friday, the 4th of December and will run Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the 4th, 5th and 6th, and so far it looks like the biggest and best Congress to date,” Moore said.
