$13 Million in USDA renewable energy grants

USDA’s Undersecretary of Rural Development announced Wednesday at the Farm Progress Show that the agency is releasing $13 million to fund over 230 renewable energy projects in 38 states. Dallas Tonsager says the Rural Energy for America Program grants are part of USDA’s overall commitment to advancing renewable energy. Tonsager says he’s a “big promoter and believer in alternative energy.”
